Using Cite While You Write

When you're ready to enter citations in your Word document, place the cursor at the correct place in your document and click on Insert Citations in the toolbar.

  1. That will open the search box below:Search for the reference (the surname of the lead author is usually best, but you can also search for unique words in a reference title).
  2. Choose the citation you want to insert,
  3. And click Insert.

  • Cite While You Write will insert the author name(s) and add the reference below in the style you have chosen.
