Introducing OneSearch

In this lesson, we will be looking at the library's main search system, which we call OneSearch.

1. Logging in:

When you first do a search in OneSearch, you will usually need to log in.  See these two screens:

2. OneSearch Introduction and Search Everything

The following are two short videos that introduce you to the basic features of the OneSearch searching system and to the Search Everything box.  Before you view them go the How to OneSearch guide and read through it to become familiar with OneSearch Features.

a. What can you find when you use the Search Everything tab? (List three kinds of information)

b. What three kinds of searches can you do in the main search box? (Hint: One of the three is Keyword; what are the other two?)

e. When you do a Search Everything search, what are three choices you have to limit your results under “Limit to” in the left column? (One of these is "Scholarly/Peer Reviewed Journals; what are two others?)
