Borrowing at British Columbia Academic Libraries

Most British Columbia university and college libraries participate in a reciprocal borrowing program, which means you may borrow books from participating libraries using your valid TWU student/library card.

Having a COPPUL card helps to smooth the borrowing process in many cases. To get a COPPUL card:

  • If you're on campus, come to the Library, show your TWU student card, and ask for a COPPUL card.
  • If you're not able to come to the library, contact Circulation by phone at 604.513.2023 or e-mail at circ@twu.ca and ask for a card.

For more information, see the page Borrowing at Other Institutions.

Borrowing at Academic Libraries outside of British Columbia

TWU is a member of COPPUL (Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries) which allows you to receive borrowing privileges at most Canadian universities. When you register, check with TWUX about receiving a COPPUL card.

  • If you're on campus, come to the Library, show your TWU student card, and ask for a COPPUL card.
  • If you're not able to come to the library, contact Circulation by phone at 604.513.2023 or e-mail at circ@twu.ca and ask for a card.

Your COPPUL card, with your valid TWU student ID should make you eligible for borrowing privileges at participating Canadian universities.
