Frequently asked questions about the library.

Alloway library uses the same online appointment system as the Learning Commons for study room bookings. You will need to create a Learning Commons account to use the system, if you do not have one.

Unable to create an account? Stop by, call 604-513-2023, or email the Borrower Services desk to book a study room.

  • The library has a number of types of study rooms available during opening hours.
  • Study rooms are intended for the use of students.
  • The use of study rooms is subject to the guidelines posted in each room.
  • Study rooms can be booked online with an account. If you don't already have an account, visit the Learning Commons Quick Start Guide for instructions on how to create one. Note that an @mytwu.ca email is required.
  • If you do not have an @mytwu.ca email, book a room at the Borrower Services desk or by phone at 604-513-2023.

    • Study room 206 has a DVD and VCR.  It is for 2-6 occupants (but can hold up to 10 for special cases) .  It is available to any group regardless of whether or not they are using it to view media; however, we prefer to use it for larger groups and groups that need to watch or listen to media together.
    • All the rooms have electrical outlets and whiteboards.
