Scanning at Alloway Library

Scanning documents is a great way to reduce paper use - and there's no fee for scanning.   We recommend scanning to a USB memory stick for: best results; bigger file sizes and, greater security,  but you can also scan direct to email. Read the screen on the scanner to start the scanning process or ask Borrower Services staff for additional assistance

Alloway Library provides two scanners:

On the Main level, at the Multifunction Print Station

  • Good for oversize document scanning
  • Use the document feeder for multi-page documents.
  • Multiple file formats are available. PDF is the default.
  • Great for colour documents

On the Upper Level

  • The photocopier by the elevator is also a scanner
  • Use the document feeder for multi-page documents.
  • Multiple file formats are available. PDF is the default.
  • Black and white scans only, no save to memory stick option
