Identifying Research Questions

Research questions, such as the examples below, are usually easier to identify. They should be referred to a reference librarian or if one is not available, AskAway, the province-wide chat reference service provided by librarians from all of BC academic libraries.

Example research questions:

  1. I have to write a paper on justification by faith.
  2. I have to write a paper on Twelfth Night.
  3. I need articles on the problems of polar bears due to global warming in the arctic.
  4. I'm looking for books on vampires. My prof said the library should have lots.
  5. I have a history paper to write and I need two books, two peer-reviewed articles, and two primary sources.
